My name is Linda Clark of Linda Clark Designs.   I have been decorating and building homes for 35 years.   Starting with old homes that I purchased for a family setting, but realizing they needed to be reconstructed or changed to fit my family's needs.  Then deciding to build a new home as the next chapter and children arrived.   My In-law was a builder, so I established a working relationship with him that taught me the most important aspects of building.  Together we created 4 homes, all on the same lake in Michigan.  He unfortunately became ill and I had an opportunity to buy on the lake that I had grown up on.  So I took on the challenge of being the General Contractor for this project.  Such a wonderful and challenging process that proved to be my best creation yet.  So much so.....that my kitchen and bath designer, Joe Hittler was able to submit this kitchen to Better Homes and Gardens.  It was then chosen for a 6 page center-fold in their August 2007 Kitchen and Bath edition.   I have built 11 homes in total.  Redecorated 3 offices as well as designed a new office for our engineering department and front office at my family business that my father started 50 years ago.  I have also decorated many homes and condos for myself and others.  My hope is to continue to challenge myself with new projects over the next 8 to 10 years.  This website will continue to be a place where my projects can be displayed and enjoyed for years to come.
